The Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) was legislatively established as a separate public body in 1993, effective January 2, 1994. The PSRB maintains jurisdiction over individuals who have committed a violent or dangerous criminal offense and are determined to be guilty except insane. Persons who are placed under the jurisdiction of the PSRB are committed to a secure state mental health facility and may be released to a program of treatment in the community, under conditions determined by the PSRB.
Meeting Information
The Psychiatric Security Review Board meets the last Friday of each month. Agendas will be posted in draft form until 24 hours prior to the meeting when the final meeting agenda will be available.
Regularly scheduled hearings are held on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. in the PSRB Hearing Room, located in the Wildflower Building on the grounds of the Arizona State Hospital.
Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 38-431-02, the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) hereby states that all notices of the meetings of the PSRB will be posted on the PSRB's website at www.azdhs.gov/psrb. Such notices will indicate date, time, and place of the meeting, and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting.

Victim Resources
The PSRB gives written notice of hearings regarding individuals under its jurisdiction to victims of that individual's crimes prior to those hearings. The PSRB also gives written notice of its decisions to victims within fifteen (15) days after the hearing is concluded.
