Arizona is home to three of the sunniest cities in the country: Yuma, Phoenix, and Tucson.

On average, a person living in Arizona will experience more than 300 days of sun every year. While this might make it easier to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities year-round, too much sun exposure can lead to skin damage and skin cancer.

The best way to prevent skin cancer is to protect your skin from UV rays, both natural (the sun) and artificial (sources such as tanning beds).

The Arizona SunWise Skin Cancer Prevention Program promotes sun-safe behaviors to help decrease skin cancer development throughout the state.
