Mohave County

Mohave County has the highest adult smoking rate in the state; 31% of adults report they smoke tobacco on a regular basis.
The Mohave County Tobacco Use Prevention Program (MCTUPP) strives to empower Mohave County residents to make healthy choices. MCTUPP promotes healthy lifestyles through tobacco use prevention education, cessation services, and promoting the benefits of smoke-free environments. MCTUPP builds and maintains professional networks throughout each of the tri- city communities providing tobacco control and outreach services. The community activities include: coalition development, educational sponsorship for sports events including half time presentations, county wide coloring and poster contests, ticket and brochure development and printing for community art and cultural productions, restaurant anti-tobacco activity place mats, and youth calendar development. read more...
