Arizona data can now be queried through the national Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). This free, online query system called HCUPnet provides access to health statistics and information on hospital inpatient and emergency department utilization.
Arizona is a partner state in the national Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP, pronounced "H-Cup"). HCUP is a family of health care databases and related software tools and products developed through a Federal-State-Industry partnership and sponsored by the Federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
HCUP databases bring together the data collection efforts of State data organizations, hospital associations, private data organizations, and the Federal government to create a national information resource of patient-level health care data.
One of the many products provided through the HCUP project is HCUPnet. This is a free, online query system that provides access to health statistics and information on hospital inpatient and emergency department utilization. Arizona data can be queried through HCUPnet.
