  • Find searchable and comparative information on hospital care, quality, charges, and costs using the brand new AZ Hospital Compare tool.
  • Be an Informed Consumer! Take advantage of a variety of online, quickly and easily searchable healthcare information resources available to you.

AZ Hospital Compare data is based on information provided by the facilities and the federal government. There are limits to information provided in a single database; it is a good idea to use multiple sources for your healthcare decision making. For instance, AZ Hospital Compare will not have information about what Department surveyors found during their last visit to the hospital. That information is available at AZ Care Check. Neither of those resources will provide information about particular physicians, nurses, podiatrists or other professionals; that information can be learned through the licensing boards.

Arizona data can be queried through HCUPnet. The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) provides many valuable tools and software, one of which is HCUPnet. This free, online query system is an information resource of state and national health care data that brings together the data collection efforts of state data organizations, hospital associations, private data organizations and the federal government.
