  • All animals in the "Other" category were infected with Arizona Gray fox variant of rabies virus, except the badger, which was infected with South central skunk variant of rabies virus.
  • During 2000, there were 2,196 animals tested for rabies in Arizona, including: 196 skunks, 52 foxes, and 483 bats.
