First Things First Early Childhood Therapist Incentives Programs
A valid contract between the ADHS and applicant would be required for stipend consideration. The Stipend component of the FTF Early Childhood Therapist Incentives Programs is "service-based" and provides for a fixed or regular allowance or benefit payment that is not considered employment, and is not a payroll-related employer benefit contribution. It is a payment that is made to a qualified individual to participate in a regional FTF council program.
The stipends include the following:
- Sign-on bonus for up to $3,000
- $6,500 for a 12-month service completion paid upon receipt of a completion letter from the employer or site confirming year(s) of service (eg. AZ/EIP, DDD, AHCCCS, Local Education Agency)
- $9,500 for a 24-month service completion paid upon receipt of a completion letter from the employer or site confirming year(s) of service (eg. AZ/EIP, DDD, AHCCCS, Local Education Agency)
Stipend payments will be initiated and paid ONLY upon submission of the required reimbursement form signed by the therapist. Reimbursement forms are available upon request.
Claims for stipend payment for each 12 month completion of service will be paid upon receipt of the reimbursement form AND must accompany an employer letter certifying completion of a full 12 month of service. Payment will be issued upon ADHS' verification of quarterly service starting from the effective date of the State contract.
All stipend payments are contingent upon ADHS' review and approval.
