Laws 2011, Chapter 31, § 7 allows the Department to establish fees charged by the Office of Vital Records for searches, copies of registered certificates, certified copies of registered certificates, amending registered certificates, and correcting certificates that are processed by the Department. Laws 2011, Chapter 31, § 7 also allows the Department to establish a surcharge fee to be assessed on local registrars for access to the Department's vital records automation system.
The Department has submitted to the Office of the Secretary of State a Notice of Exempt Rulemaking (page 1584) to amend the rule in Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R9-19-413 to implement Laws 2011, Chapter 31. A chart showing the fees is given below.
