The strain of separation, the stress of combat and the trauma of loss can have debilitating consequences for service members and military veterans - and their families - long after coming home. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is caused by a sudden blow to the head or the concussive force of an explosion. Such an injury can cause changes in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Symptoms of traumatic brain injury include headaches, memory loss, difficulty concentrating, impulsive behavior, anxiety and depression.
