Top Six Causes of Injury for Pediatric and Geriatric Age Groups

Falls are the most common cause of injury for both the pediatric and the geriatric age groups, followed by Motor Vehicle Traffic (MVT). For all age groups combined, "Pedal Cyclist, Other" is not in the top six causes of injury. When pediatric and geriatric age groups are examined separately, Pedal Cyclist, Other is in the top six for both. Pedal Cyclist, Other includes accidents that, for example, do not occur on a street or highway.
