State Trauma Advisory Board (STAB)
The State Trauma Advisory Board (STAB) was formed to carry out the duties described in A.R.S. § 36-2222. Such duties include making recommendations on the initial and long-term processes for verification and designation of trauma center levels, making recommendations on the development/implementation of a comprehensive regional emergency medical services and trauma system plan, and making recommendations on the state emergency medical services and trauma system quality improvement processes, including the State Trauma Registry. The Trauma and EMS Performance Improvement (TEPI) Standing Committee, formally the Arizona Trauma System Quality Assurance & System Improvement (AZTQ) Committee, is formed to assist the STAB, EMS Council and MDC and the Bureau in carrying out the duties described in statute and rule relating to quality improvement of the State's EMS and Trauma System.
