The following Child Care Orientations will be offered in the Yuma area in 2010:

1. New Owners Orientation - March 16th (8:30am - 12:30pm)
   Open to Owners of a child center, staff and anyone pursuing a license in child care; this is a requirement to obtain a license;
2. Small Group Home Orientation – March 17th (8:30am - 12:30pm)
   Open to any staff working in a licensed child care home setting or anyone pursuing a license; this training is required to obtain a license. Note: A completed application must be submitted prior to admission for a new group home.
3. Director's Workshop – June 8th (8:30am - 12:30pm)
   Open to owners of a child center, staff, directors and assistant directors;

All trainings will be held at Yuma City Hall , One City Plaza , Room 141.

All trainings are free of charge.

You must pre-register for any of the orientations due to limited seating. Register by calling the Tucson Child Care Licensure Office at (520) 628-6541 or (800) 615-8555.

Staff will receive four hours of training towards their required annual training. Because the New Owner's Orientation and the Director's Workshop cover similar material, we encourage staff to attend only one of those sessions as a 'refresher course.'
